Extended Abstract themes

  1. Bioenergy
    This theme encourages presentations and posters that provide reasons, rationale, and relevant factors that stress not only the important role of bioenergy in daily life but also in the ways to make it more sustainable.
  2. Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture
    This conference aims to build more connections between stakeholders in agriculture and related fields including researchers, students, policy makers, and industries. Presentations and posters are encouraged to identify or describe existing and new researches that help developing agriculture and related fields to be more environmentally sustainable. Whether it would be agronomy, animal science, food technology, fisheries, forestry or innovative agribusiness activity, share your ideas that may contribute to Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture.

 

Guidelines for Extended Abstract Submission

  • Your extended abstract is limited to 2 pages including any figures or images.  Please include all co-author names and affiliations as prompted.
  • Extended abstracts must be submitted before 30th July 2019. Extended abstracts received after this deadline will NOT be accepted.
  • Only one extended abstract submission per person per presenting author will be accepted. If you wish to submit any further extended abstracts, these will only be considered if you are a co-author and the presenting author is registered for the conference.
  • Authors must specify whether they are submitting an extended abstract for an oral presentation or poster presentation in the subject email and using the following template http://icon-beat.umm.ac.id/files/file/iconbeat2019-abstract-template.doc
  • Please submit your extended abstract ONLY in the doc (template) format.
  • The accuracy of the submitted extended abstract is the responsibility of the authors, so authors should prepare and proof read their abstracts carefully before submitting.
  • By submitting an extended abstract, the first-named author confirms on behalf of the co-authors that the extended abstract is their own original work and that they have obtained any necessary permissions relating to images and data submitted. In addition, the first named author must ensure that he/she has the approval and copyright assignment from any co-authors and contributors involved in the work.

Attendance at event

  • If an extended abstract for an oral presentation is accepted the presenting author must be able to attend the conference on the relevant day and have registered via the website.
  • If an extended abstract for a poster presentation is accepted the presenting author must register and pay to attend the conference on at least the relevant day.
  • Failure to register attendance with a poster submission will result in your extended abstract being withdrawn from the conference.
  • Attending co-authors will need to register independently at the applicable rate if they wish to attend any part of the conference.

For oral presentations

  • Presenters will be provided with 15 minutes slots in their assigned session. Please allow a minimum of 3 minutes for questions within this allocation. 
  • A PC running the latest Microsoft Powerpoint will be available. Additional support will be available to connect to projectors using your own laptop. However, talks must also be uploaded in either MS Powerpoint or PDF format to the conference PCs to provide a backup.
  • To enable the smooth running of the sessions and good time keeping, all presenters should load their presentations onto the local machine in advance. The full presentation of accepted oral presentations must be submitted to the IT support team prior to the start of the session.

For poster presentations

  • All paper posters must be ISO A1 size (60 × 85 cm) (unless specified), and portrait. Printing facilities are not available at the venue. 
  • The time and location to display individual posters will be listed in the program.
  • It is the responsibility of the first author/ named person to ensure the poster is on display in time for the beginning of the event.
  • Authors may, if they wish, provide A4 hand-outs or notes on their posters for delegates and reviewers. It is the authors’ responsibility to bring these to the event.
  • Authors should be available to discuss their posters with conference delegates so they should indicate the day/time they will be available at their poster display.
  • Any posters remaining on-site at the end of the event will be disposed of unless prior arrangements have been made with organizers.
  • Authors must take responsibility for the delivery, display, and collection of their posters.
  • The Committee does not accept liability for loss of or damage to posters.
